Inkcazo A carving in Italy, sculptors carving a putto, or child. This image has incorrectly been attributed as "circumcision", but it is absolutely not. This is clearly evident from the symbols of the sculptor throughout the composition, i.e., square, hammer, sculpting table, not to mention the size of the child figure, which by relation to the adults would make this creature a monster, were it alive, and the fact that the "child" is attached to the plank behind him. Such a putto would be part of a larger sculptural cycle or composition in a residential, sacred, or public setting.
